Mikheil Batiashvili – the candidate for the minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, specially emphasized the importance of general education while addressing the Parliament, in conjunction with explaining the importance of developing technologies in the educational platform.

According to Mikheil Batiashvili, in order to develop the innovation technologies at Georgian schools, several internationally recognized systems will be implemented. Digital school implies the implementation of digital content and resource materials – such as video and online lessons, educational, other digital literature and even the laboratories. This tool of knowledge will increase the availability of additional learning materials and together with the students, teachers will also benefit from the latest and high quality literature. The flexible and continuously updated system can be used on tablets and various electronic devices.

Furthermore, all successful international teaching models will be thoroughly analyzed, and several will be fully integrated into the national system. Additionally, teachers will be re-trained according to the new Action Plan. And most importantly, teachers will receive a monetary motivation.

According to the ministerial candidate, the process of improving textbooks has reached its active phase in terms of upgrading the technical and contentious side. It is of paramount importance, to make Georgian literature more accessible to young people.

According to Mikheil Batiashvili, such a complex approach will enable us to have more motivation for the development of Georgian education.
