President of Italy visited Tbilisi State University

Sergio Mattarella – President of the Republic of Italy, visited Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, with regard to its 100th Anniversary. The president inspected the exhibition reflecting the Georgian-Italian friendship and met with the representatives of Georgian Academia and general public.

Mikheil Batiashvili – The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, together with the Ambassador of Italy to Georgia – Antonio Enrico Bartoli attended the exhibition. During the meeting, the President of Italy spoke about the long-term friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the joint results achieved in the field of education, science, culture and sport.

Furthermore, Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia talked about the Italian-Georgian relations and planned joint educational projects. The Minister positively evaluated the existing cooperation and thanked the Italian side for their continuous support. Mikheil Batiashvili also touched upon the plans and once again confirmed the readiness to conduct future joint projects.
