Education experts will be actively involved in the reform process

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Mikheil Batiashvili together with the deputy Minister - Irina Abuladze discussed the main directions of the education reform and the general action plan with the education experts.
Participants discussed the shortcomings, challenges and opportunities in the field of general education. Experts introduced their opinions about the amendments to be implemented strategy.

Mikheil Batiashvili noted that education reform is the priority of the Government of Georgia. The Ministry is actively working on reform and has already met several donors and international organizations, field experts and other parties who are interested in the process. According to the Minister, the reform will be mostly effective if the parties involved in the preparation process have the relevant knowledge, experience and competence.

Education Experts have expressed their readiness to improve the education system and get involved in the planning and implementation process. "The fact that the Ministry saw the necessity of using our resources in the process is very appealing" - noted one of the expert.

The meeting was attended by various experts in the education field, including the representatives of the Office of the Public Defender of Georgia, and PH International - Consulting and Training Center.
