A two-day seminar dedicated to the introduction of
technological innovations and digital transformation of education in
educational system is being organized by Microsoft Georgia. Strengthening the
technology application and thus increasing the access to technological means
for the students is one of the most important tasks in the educational reform.
The seminar is led by the head of Global Digital Education Strategic Team of
Microsoft – Katy Tynan, who has an immense experience in working in the Finnish
education sector.
According to Katy Tynen, the digital transformation of education system is
of particular importance in our time, as the world changes rapidly and
subsequently new challenges and possibilities emerge. Therefore, it is of
paramount importance to develop skills in younger students, which will help
them build a successful future. According to her, many countries are already
working in this regard, and Georgia is among them.
The deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Irina Abuladze,
representatives of the Ministry and its subdivisions all participated in the
seminar.
