Mikheil Batiashvili - Minister of Education, Science,
Culture and Sport of Georgia congratulated students, teachers and parents from
the public school №150 of Tbilisi. Public school №150 is one of those public
schools, where a new model of teaching was initiated by the Ministry and it
will run in its pilot mode.
The Minister believes that the new method of teaching will be successful and
will soon be introduced to other public schools across Georgia.
"The new model encompasses a complex approach and includes many areas,
such as new approaches in the course teaching and learning, imparting more
analyzes, due to the fact, that the modern child needs to develop the right
decision making skills. As various technologies emerge, innovations are
necessary at schools. From the new academic year we have a lot of novelties,
which will facilitate the development of Georgian schools. Processes will
gradually develop, starting from the primary grades all the way to the higher
ones. This will be one of the first schools and it will gradually develop other
schools in Georgia" - said the Minister.
According to Mikheil Batiashvili, reforms announced to increase the quality of
education will cover every step of the education levels.
