Mikheil Batiashvili visited a small-scale public school in Adjara

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Mikheil Batiashvili visited the small-scale Chikuneti Public School, located in Khelvachauri Municipality and introduced planned innovations within the scope of planned reforms. 
According to the minister, the revision of the secondary grades (X, XI, and XII) is well underway. In particular, it is planned to implement the Proficiency Teaching at schools, which includes a number of different directions. As a result, students will be able to master a vocation of their preference together with receiving their high school certificate.

The Chikuneti School is located in one of the high mountainous villages of Adjara at 498 meters above sea level and is now fully renovated. Students can now get access to the newly built playground, a gym, a library, and specialty classrooms all equipped with the modern inventory. The school has integrated a full central heating system. Video cameras are also installed on the school premises.  
Chikuneti Public school has 53 students, amongst which three are first graders and three are seniors. There are 20 teachers employed in this small-scale school, out of which six are fully certified.
