The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Mikheil Batiashvili together with the deputy ministers hosted the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe - Gabriela Battini-Dragoni.

During the meeting the sides discussed the issues discussed within the framework of the European Sports Ministerial in Tbilisi held on October 16. The conversation touched upon the protection of human rights and the fight against corruption in sports.

The meeting also discussed "Tbilisi Declaration", which will be received by the delegates within the framework of the Ministerial. The document calls for the governmental and non-governmental organizations to enhance efforts to protect human rights in the field of sports.

Mikheil Batiashvili held several workshops within the ministerial meeting with the senior officials responsible for executing sporting events in the Council of Europe member states.
