The professional testing of applicants with special educational needs started on October 31 and will last until 3 November 2018. This procedure is underway in 25 professional educational institutions throughout Georgia.
For the first time this year, with the support of the Millennium Challenge Fund - Georgia, individuals with special educational needs and disabilities, through the adapted procedure, were able to get involved in work-based dual educational programs.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia started to introduce inclusive education in vocational education system of Georgia back in 2013.
In order to increase the availability of vocational education for individuals with special educational needs, an alternative procedure of professional testing has been developed, which enables the applicant to practice the vocation of his choice and to make professional choices as the basis of the experience.
From 2013 to 2018, with an alternative testing approach, 1004 people with special educational needs have been enrolled in vocational education.
