332 students of Kakheti region were awarded with personal
computers for their success in their studies. The event was held at Ilia
Chavchavadze House Museum in Kvareli during the "Iliaoba" celebration.
The project of encouraging students, implemented by the Ministry
of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, aims to increase student
motivation and facilitate the use of technologies in the learning process.
Increasing access to modern technologies gives talented and hard-working
teenagers more opportunity to succeed.
Project beneficiaries are public school students who have
graduated with basic qualifications (7th, 8th and 9th grades) and their score
is 10 points (without rounding).
It is worth mentioning that the number of successful students
increases annually. Last year, there were 2582 high school students throughout
Georgia, whereas the figure for this year reached 2971 students. Furthermore, last
year, exactly 282 successful students were awarded in Kakheti. The project of
encouraging students will continue in the future.
