Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia attended the lesson of the new model, based on the development of reasonable skills at Tbilisi Public School N150.

The project "New School Model" includes all students and teachers of I-IV grade who work together with experts in the planning and improvement of the entire educational process. Starting from the second semester the project will be implemented in 50 schools throughout Georgia and will be covered by all public schools until 2023.

It should be emphasized that "the model of the new school" is part of the planned reform of the education system and its mission is to establish a person-oriented educational environment that will enable all teenagers to realize their own potential, who will also be equipped with the knowledge required for the XXI century.

Within the framework of the project, the experts of the Ministry work with teachers in several directions such as developing and implementing curriculum-oriented development plans; integration of digital technologies into the learning process, and a creation of a supportive evaluation system for the personal development.

In the educational process based on the experience of the students, the students will gain knowledge of their preference through unfamiliar fields with the teacher's help. Digital technologies will play an important role in this process as well as in planning and executing the learning process as a whole. Conducting active research and cognitive processes based on the knowledge and experience of pupils in a constructive environment will facilitate the conceptualization of knowledge and transform the field of thinking into thinking instruments. Such approaches will improve the quality of teaching and learning, which is one of the main goals of the Ministry.
