On November 21-27, Georgian volunteers and non-governmental organization – Helping Hand, will organize a volunteer week in Tbilisi - "I am a volunteer - active citizen".
The project - "I am a volunteer - Active Citizen", includes both informational meetings, as well as intellectual games, charity actions, and so forth. Within the scope of the planned week there are a variety of activities planned such as: 21-22 November a quiz will be held in four public schools of Tbilisi (12th, 161, 70th, 199th); On November 22, at 16:00, the theme "International Volunteering and Youth Issues" (Georgian Young Representative in UN) will be held with Lika Torokashvili; on November 7th, followed by a charity exhibition held on the November 27.
The volunteer week is held within the volunteer development program - "Georgia Volunteer", which is being implemented in partnership with non-governmental organization – Helping Hand, together with Youth Policy Management Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
The aim of the program is to enhance the volunteering institution, as well as to develop a common network of volunteers across Georgia, raise awareness of young people through volunteering, increase the number of volunteers interested in volunteering events, and promote the idea of unselfish labor on behalf of the public.
