Today, the governing council of the Academy Europea has made an unprecedented decision to open the Regional Center of Academy Europea in Georgia. Georgia will be the first country outside the EU where the center will be established.

"This decision made by a highly respected international organization is one of the greatest recognition of the great scientists of all generations of our country, the great academic scholars of many centuries and great traditions, and its unique contribution and potential in world science. The Regional Center of Academy Europea will pave the way for Georgian researchers and young scientists in the international arena and will promote the development of science and research in the entire region. Tbilisi educational hub will be opened on the premises of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, " stated Mikheil Batiashvili - Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.

The Academy Europea was created in 1988 by the initiative of Great Britain and other European Academies. It combines eminent scholars from all over the world and includes research in all directions.
