Winners of Natural Sciences Olympiad are on an educational trip in Warsaw

With 10 students of public and private schools participating in the National School Olympiad, the winners of the Buckswood Scientific School visited Poland in Warsaw, Poland on an educational trip.

During the visit, Georgian students and teachers visited the Institute of Genetics and Biochemistry of the Biology Faculty of Warsaw University, where they got acquainted with current research and experiments in chemistry and biology. In addition, they personally met the director of the Institute, Prof. Pavel Golik, as well as other scientists and students of the University. 

The students also visited Prashkov's Tomas Zan School-Lyceum, which is one of the best educational institutions in Poland, equipped with modern approach towards teaching and learning. Georgian students and teachers witnessed various experiments in Chemistry, participated in a variety of experiments with their Polish peers and met with school administration and government representatives.

During the visit, the students also spent a day at the Planetarium, projected by Copernicus Research Center in Warsaw, where they were able to see 450 exhibits in the scientific-demonstration project. Most of the exhibits are interactive and allow visitors to try, observe or pass the test themselves.

Furthermore, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Georgia to Poland, where the students met with the Ambassador himself, Ilia Darchiashvili. The students received information about the cooperation and perspectives between Georgia and Poland in the fields of education and European integration.
