On January 25, International Education Center announced three scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year together with partner international organizations. The event was attended by: Nino Chelidze, Executive Director of the Center, Director of French Institute - Pierre Cluer, Magda Magradze, Executive director of Millennium Challenge Fund - Georgia, Dean of San Diego University, and representatives of Italian, French, US and Hungarian embassies, Scholars and other media representatives.
The competition is announced on the following scholarships:
- Joint Master Degree Programs in France 2019-2020
- Joint Master and PhD programs in Italy 2019-2020
- Joint Master and Doctoral Program at San Diego University, USA
Joint Master Degree Programs in France 2019-2020 - The program allows citizens of Georgia to obtain scholarship in France for the Master's degree in French as well as English language programs.
The scholarship program is implemented by the International Center for Education, the French Embassy in Georgia and the Campus Frances in partnership agreement signed back in 2015.
Joint master and doctoral programs in Italy 2019-2020 - envisages funding of Georgian citizens for studying master's and doctoral programs at leading universities in Italy. Each student’s scholarship will be funded jointly by the LEPL - International Center for Education and the Italian side - each participant by the Italian University. Scholarship covers the tuition fees and the costs of living in Italy fully or partially. The Georgian-Italian Scholarship Program will be implemented for the first time this year, based on the memorandum signed between the Council of Europe and the Center of Deans of Italian Universities.
The joint master and doctorate program at the University Of San Diego, USA, is another new scholarship scheme implemented by the International Center for Education, in partnership with the Millennium Challenge Foundation, based on a memorandum signed in 2018, which is bound to last for 6 years.
Within the framework of the program, the Center will provide financing of Georgian citizens at San Diego State University for over a year with an amount of $ 10 000.
All three applications must be submitted electronically by the end of February 28.
The International Center for Education was founded in 2014 and since its foundation, the organization has awarded more than 650 scholarships for Georgian citizens willing to study abroad. Together with scholarship schemes, the Center also implements a qualification raising program for public sector workers.
