Dimitri Shashkini continues his meetings with the teachers of the region in Samegrelo

Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini met with around 200 regional teachers in Zugdidi Public School №2. This time, Minister personally introduced current condition of the system to the teachers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, spoke about recent innovations in details and teachers’ ethics code that will come into force from May 31.Dimitri Shashkini answered teachers’ questions on actual issues of the region at the end of the meeting.
- 255 Public and 22 private schools operate in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti;
- 7,802 teachers work and 56,139 school children study there;
- 50 public schools were rehabilitated in the framework of mega-program “Iakob Gogebashvili” in 2006-2009;
- Deer Leap Foundation provided public schools of the region with 2.589 computers (20/1) in 2006-2010.
