Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Irina Abuladze participated a workshop dedicated to working together with Georgian and foreign partners, where the priorities of the National Qualifications Framework was established, as well as outlining the future plans and issues of sharing with international partners were discussed.

The workshop will lasted for two days and the goal was to support the ongoing reform and introduce new types of tools for managing the framework. Georgian and foreign representatives of the field of education will discuss the achievements of the reform of the National Qualifications Framework, as well as the priority areas for future discussions and development, challenges related to the transition to the new framework, and other related matters.

Conceptual and structural changes, updated legislative frameworks and recommendations will also be presented at the meeting. Participants will exchange their opinions and engage in discussions.

The workshop will contribute to the deepening of cooperation with the EU member states, as well as the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Advisory Board with members of the priority issues for discussion and sharing of experiences, such as: the National Qualifications frameworks advantages, access to national qualifications framework and quality assurance between the national qualifications framework for the management, control mechanisms and information sharing / dissemination of qualifications.

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and the European Education Foundation will also summarize the phase of the National Qualifications Framework Reform and the following steps will be taken to begin a new EU project in 2019.
