Four public schools were fully renovated in
Lagodekhi Municipality. Millennium Challenge Fund - Georgia has been upgrading
and equipping schools with the modern standards in Lagodekhi Municipality and
the surrounding area. Natia Zedginidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science,
Culture and Sport, Mariam Jashi, Chairman of Education, Science and Culture
Committee of Parliament of Georgia held a meeting with Guram Macharashvili,
local government officials and teachers. The guests visited the damaged school
in the village of Heretiskari and informed the population about the decision of
the government, according to which two new schools will be built in the village
Kabalisa and Heretiakari and two public schools will be fully rehabilitated.
According to the deputy minister, due to
the increased and enhanced budget, the possibility of more infrastructural
projects will be implemented in the years of 2021-22: "Education on one
hand implies strong and competent teachers giving education, whereas on the
other hand, the infrastructure and environment plays an important role, after
all it’s where the quality education process is conducted. We are working on
these objectives in close cooperation with the municipality representetives, to
try to get results in the shortest possible time "- Natia Zedgenidze.
On the same day gold and silver medals were awarded to the
graduates of the municipality.
