On May 26, the events dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia, will be held throughout the whole Georgia, through the unified concept - "Knowledge leads to freedom", the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia is actively represented throughout the country.

Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, visited the first classical gymnasium, organized by the Ministry and its LEPLs, where many educational, scientific, cultural and educational activities are held.

As the Minister noted, it is important that in recent years there has been an interesting tradition and 26 May became universal across the nation.

Based on this glorious celebration, the Ministry is organizing ceremonial, cognitive and entertaining events across the country. We are actively represented in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Shindisi, Akhalkalaki and Marneuli - with many educational, cultural, scientific, cognitive-entertainment and sports events. In addition, the Gala concerts dedicated to Independence Day will be held in 10 towns of Georgia (Akhaltsikhe, Ozurgeti, Telavi, Gori, Mestia, Ambrolauri, Poti, Zugdidi, Marneuli, Akhalkalaki)", said the Minister. Everyone is invited on this wonderful holiday, to celebrate it together with hope and love – added the Minister.

There will be a number of various commemorating events scheduled to happen in Rustaveli Avenue 1st Gymnasium, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State Technical University, National Center of Manuscripts, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation as well as performing an imitation of the archaeological excavations, as well as performing chemistry experiments. Moreover, there will be a unique display of medieval Georgian manuscripts to the general public. Furthermore, the public had the opportunity to see the creative inventions of the winners of the "Leonardo da Vinci" contest, specially designed for the Frankfurt Book Fair.
On the Rustaveli Avenue, within the vicinity of the Rustaveli Theater there was a number of cultural events happening. Among them - the Tbilisi State Arts Academy of Art has organized a cafe / shop stall, whereas the National Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage has organize Cafe / Studio, where the visitors had the opportunity to see the virtual-cognition ITI tours of cultural heritage of Georgia. There was an exhibition of Georgian folk craftsmanship, where G.Mikeladze State Puppet Theater presented a special performance. The exhibition of artist -Anka Kalatozishvili and the students of theatrical costumes and accessories school was also organized at Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film State University.

At the Rustaveli Theater there was a presentation of 15 news pilot, introducing the young Georgian successful artists to the society.

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia and the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel hosted sport activities - fencing, weightlifting, board games, sports cars exhibition, street basketball, handball and others. Anyone can participate in these sports activities.

Owing to the organization of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, several cognitive-entertainment activities were presented in Kutaisi, Tsisperkantsesi Street and Veriko Anjaparidze Square.

Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University, Kutaisi State University, Tbilisi State Medical University, Batumi State University, and Zurab Zhvania School presented the imitation of archaeological excavations, geography quizzes, fun experiments and etc.
