Media-Festival "Bacho Cup 2019" was held at Tbilisi Hill's Golf Square

To celebrate the International Day for Sports Journalists, on July 2, "Tbilisi Bacho Cup 2019" was held at "Tbilisi Hills" Golf Course Resort. The tournament was held with the participation of sports journalists in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Georgian Golf Federation. Winners and prizes were revealed in accordance with individual indicators between men and women.

Lasha Ramazashvili won the first place among the men, silver medal was awarded to Zviad Shatirishvili and third place and accordingly the bronze medal was awarded to Giorgi Atebegashvili. Tamar Mamagulashvili became champion women, whereas Meri Sulkhanishvili won the silver medal, and Bronze went to Ani Nadirashvili.

Amongst the journalists, several Georgian sportsmen were also participating in the tournament, but their results were counted separately and finally the best result was revealed to be achieved by Lubha Golovina, who is the silver medalist of Minsk's second European games. Giorgi Khvedeliani, a member of the Water Polo team, was the best among the men. In addition to sports journalists, the sports media was celebrated by the captain of the water polo team - Zurab Rurua, captain of the handball team Shota Tevzadze, veteran player of Georgian basketball team - Viktor Sanikidze. 
The golf media tournament was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Sports Journalists Association and Golf Federation.

Winners of the Media Festival were awarded with the appropriate cups and memorable prizes set by the tournament organizers and supporting partners. Sports journalists' media tournament "Bacho Cup" is being held by the Ministry of Sport since 2010 and is dedicated to the memory of Bacho Svanidze, journalist of the sports newspaper "Sarbi".
