On the second day of the Eastern Partnership Conference, Irina Abuladze - Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, chaired the 7th Session on Empowering the Young Generation and Building Intercultural Connections.

Furthermore, panelists discussed key issues such as improving the quality of education in the partner countries, having greater integration with the EU education, conducting research and innovation system, facilitating technology-based learning and building cross-cultural bridges amongst nations.

The Deputy Minister introduced key aspects of large-scale education reform, ongoing and planned projects to the conference participants, including talks on movement in the field of culture and sport. Irina Abuladze named the launch of a successful Eastern Partnership School among the successful projects that provides students from six EU partner countries with an innovative academic program and supports multicultural cooperation.

In her speech, the Deputy Minister also spoke about the ongoing reforms in the field of vocational education and emphasized the importance of the agreement signed between Georgia and the EU, which envisages the development of Georgia's human capital.

With regards to the field of higher education - Irine Abuladze spoke about Georgia's accession to the European Quality Assurance Network (ENQA) and its successful participation in the EU Erasmus + program. She also touched upon the cooperation with the EU in the field of science and welcomed the possibility of joining the European Commission's pan-European initiative EURAXESS.
