On July 30, a special session of the Executive Committee of the Georgian National Olympic Committee was held. The main item on the agenda was submitting applications to the European Olympic Committees for the right to host the 17^th Winter Youth Olympic Festival 2025 in Borjomi-Bakuriani. Georgia has a chance to compete for the 2025 festival, and the first step along that path will be to submit an application. The members of the executive committee have decided to submit an application to the European Olympic Committees for eligibility to host the 2025 Winter Youth Olympic Festival. The GNOC administration was instructed to submit the relevant documents promptly. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Mikheil Batiashvili, Deputy Minister Shalva Gogoladze and Head of Sport Development Department Irakli Dolaberidze attended the session.
