Within the framework of the complex education reform, in 2020, the entrants will pass the Unified National Exams with a brand new model. The new model implies, on the one hand, reducing the number of exams from 4 compulsory exams to 3 exams, and on the other hand, better assessing students' readiness for a particular program. 1. Georgian language and literature;
2. A foreign language.
The third exam will depend on the programs themselves, technical and natural sciences entrants will do an exam in mathematics, humanities – history.
Higher education institutions will, if they wish, take the fourth exam from the list of subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Skills, Geography, Literature, Fine and Applied Arts, Civic Education.
Given the initiative of medical education institutions, there will be four mandatory exams for health education programs:
1. Georgian language and literature;
2. Foreign language;
3. Biology;
4. Mathematics / Chemistry / Physics (the student chooses at least one). Quota seats will be allocated for the fourth subject, not less than 30% for each subject.
