Georgian students won the International Informatics Olympiad

A team of four students from Komarov's Physics and Mathematics Public School # 199 in Tbilisi won three medals at the 31st International Informatics Olympiad: Nikoloz Birkadze - gold, and Teimuraz Toloraia and Bakar Gamesardashvili won bronze medals. Fourth member of the team Davit Khvedelidze missed the chance to acquire a medal this time.

The team was accompanied by coaches: Team Leader Prof. Giorgi Mandaria, Deputy Leader Zaza Gamezardashvili and Team Assistant Guram Kotolashvili. The International Olympiad was held on August 4-11 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with 327 students from 88 countries participating.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport congratulates the youth on the victory and wishes them future success.
