Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia - Giorgi Vashakidze has been appointed Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport on August 9, 2019 by the order N 267 of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Since 2018, Giorgi Vashakidze has been the head of LEPL National Center for Quality Development.

Giorgi Vashakidze has ten years of experience in international private / public organizations, has significant academic experience in various higher education institutions, has worked as an expert on UN development programs, was a member of the Rustaveli National Science Foundation Board. Giorgi Vashakidze is the author of numerous monographs, researches and articles.

He holds a Masters of Law and a Doctor of Law from the University of Hamburg.
