Supported
by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the
British Season 2019 will be held for the first time in Georgia on October 15
and 16.
The
forum was opened by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport -
Levan Kharatishvili, British Ambassador to Georgia - Justin McKenzie Smith and
the British Council Director - Zaza Purtseladze.
The
Creative Forum Youth Forum is attended by representatives of various sectors of
the British creative industry, young entrepreneurs and students from Georgia.
Panel discussions will be held as well as four workshops on specific topics in
the field. The forum will be followed by a presentation of the winners of the
NESTA Workshop on Creative Entrepreneurship of the British Innovation
Foundation.
The
purpose of the forum is to create a common understanding of the essence of the
cultural and creative industries (CCIs) and to highlight the role of the
cultural and creative sectors in the development of the economic and social
industry, the professional skills and employment of young creative
entrepreneurs.
British
Season UK / Georgia 2019 is a special program of more than 60 events, jointly
developed by the British Embassy and the British Council. The program runs from
September to December 2019.
