The winners “Leonardo Da Vinci” competition were awarded

An exhibition and the awarding ceremony of the Leonardo da Vinci Competition for Inventors and Researchers organized by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation was held at the Writers House in Tbilisi.

General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia - Zviad Gabisonia spoke about the great importance and goals of the Foundation's most popular traditional competition - "Leonardo da Vinci". The competition is notorious for popularizing science among the students. Owners of the Grand Prix, first, second and third places were identified. The authors of the best project/ invention, were awarded with special prizes and accolades. The grand prize was awarded to Rostom Nioradze and Keta Aptsiauri for their Project: White Bear-flexible beam array in the role of a static solar panel guide and use of Peltier elements for the utilization of the heat flow.

Evidently, 1st place was awarded to Mariam Maghradze, Teona Kontridze, and Teqla Lezhava; whereas, the 2nd place winners were identified as: Lizi Turashvili, Mariam Mikadze, and Avtandil Gujabidze. Furthermore, 3rd place winners were revelead to be: Gega Datuashvili, Mariam Ninua, and Baia Grdzelishvili.

 

Leonardo Da Vinci Competition for Student Inventors and Researchers, aims to popularize science among young students, foster students' interest in innovation and technology, and is held annually by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation in partnership with Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia.
