It is a geo information system and a GIS portal that serves to describe, protect, disseminate and manage our national cultural heritage. All this was possible to our Norwegian colleagues, and I would like to take this opportunity and thank them for their continuous support in this endeavor. The project is a very important scientific and educational component, and I hope that our students will be actively involved in the project implementation and operation of the system. It is of significant importance to take care of our heritage, because our future is based on the preservation of our history and who we are”.

The event was attended by Helen Sandersen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Georgia, Nikoloz Antidze, and Director of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation, and representatives of various governmental and non-governmental organizations and agencies.
