Within the framework of the Vocational
Education reform, a three-day seminar for the members of the Board entitled to
the implementation of Short-Term Training Programs was opened by Tamar
Kitiashvili - the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Culture of Georgia.
“I think this is a very important stage in
our lives, when the private sector comes into our system as a decision maker. I
think this will lead to a huge breakthrough and ultimately, in consequence, our
economy will receive highly skilled workers” Tamar Kitiashvili told members of
the government.
The Board is a collegial body that is in
charge of deciding which organization is to provide training programs/modules.
The Council is mainly exemplified by representatives of the private sector and
various associations.
The seminar will discuss issues such as the new standards of
vocational education, the legislative framework, in conjunction with testing
simulation work and evaluate the college’s preparation process.
