It is noteworthy that in recent years, Georgian Para sport has received special attention in our country. In 2015, a Parasport Development Center was opened in Tbilisi, fully adapted for people with disabilities. This year, by the decision of the Government of Georgia, a monthly state scholarship of 1000 GEL was set for the Paralympic champions.

In 2019, Georgian Paralympians won 150 medals in various sports, at World and European championships internationally. This year Tbilisi hosted the first European Amputee Football Champions League with 6 European teams participating. It is noteworthy, that next year is especially busy for Georgian athletes. Our Paralympians look forward to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games for which they are actively preparing.
