An interesting meeting was held in Geneva at the World Nuclear Research Center (CERN) between Georgian youth interested in physics and Georgian scientists working in the field.

Scientists held a special presentations to our students about their work in CERN, and then the several-hour meeting ensued in a question-answer format. Scientists spoke about the past activities and positively evaluated the Ministry’s initiative, to give the opportunity for interested young individuals to visit the Nuclear Research Centre in Switzerland, where large-scale experiments are carried and biggest discoveries are made. Georgian students say that the days spent at CERN will make it easier for them to choose their future profession, as the CERN master class is a way for students who are passionate about physics to engage more and discover their true passion for the subject.  The aim of the project is to engage and encourage young students to STEM subjects.
