Deputy Ministers of Education, Science,
Culture and Sport of Georgia - Nunu Mitskevichi and Ekaterine Dgebuadze opened
the conference dedicated to Reform and Development Opportunities of Higher Education
Quality Assurance System.
The purpose of the conference was to review
whether the reform of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System is in
compliance with the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) requirements as
indicated in the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union.
The event was attended by Colin Tuck,
Director of the European Agency for Independent Higher Education Quality
Assessment (EQAR) and other local and international experts. Participants
discussed the results of institutional evaluations conducted in accordance with
quality assurance standards and procedures, as well as the steps needed to
further develop the system and improve the performance of higher education
institutions.
The event was organized by the National
Center for Educational Quality Enhancement with the support of the project
"Learn in Georgia" of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and
Sport of Georgia.
