Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Tamar Kitiashvili discussed current changes, existing challenges and future plans during the meeting with the directors of private colleges.

Issues such as: promoting the introduction of a new standard of authorization, improving quality, compulsory military service, entrepreneurial education, receiving private funding from private colleges were discussed during the meeting.

The Deputy Minister discussed in detail the future plans related to increasing access to vocational education, quality improvement, development of educational programs, new model of college management, internationalization of the system and much more.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia has made vocational education a priority. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry briefed the diplomatic corps, donor organizations and government agencies on the projects and initiatives they will be implementing in 2020. The Chamber prioritized the field of vocational education and presented an action plan in this regard.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Tamar Kitiashvili and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs - Alexander Khvtisiashvili.

In her speech, Tamar Kitiashvili spoke about the Chamber's role in vocational education and emphasized the need to share responsibilities with the public-private sectors. The Deputy Minister expressed support to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the planned activities and called on donor organizations to further cooperate.
