With the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia - Giorgi Gakharia and the involvement of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, all Georgian citizens are given free access to online bookstore – lit.ge for the duration of one month for books published by Palitra L and Bakur Sulakauri Publishing House. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Government Administration - Giorgi Sakhokia. Giorgi Sakhokia expressed his immense gratitude to the online shop lit.ge, Palitra L and Bakur Sulakauri Publishing House. Additionally, he urged the private sector, within their competence and capability, to engage as much as possible in responsible community activities.
“Given the current situation in the country and in the world, it is very important for the government and private sector to cooperate today. I would like to thank the online shop lit.ge, Palitra L and Bakur Sulakauri Publishing for the opportunity to provide readers of any age with both fiction and scientific literature. This is especially important in the period when holidays are prolonged and the educational process in the country is temporarily suspended. I would also like to take this opportunity and urge the private sector to engage in community-based activities to the fullest extent possible.” - stated George Sakhokia.
It is noteworthy, that Bakur Sulakauri Publishing House joined the solidarity rally with yet another offer. The website - www.sulakauri.ge will deliver the books for free throughout Georgia after paying the paperback fee. Furthermore, all students and teachers will be able to download free textbooks and any auxiliary teaching resources, including audio resources in Georgian and English upon completing the registration at: www.sulakauri.edu.ge.
As part of this initiative, Palitra L has provided students with up to 200 free audio books on the platform www.gudabooks.ge, dubbed by well-known actors.
To access the e-books available on Lit.ge, you need to:

- Authorized user will be redirected to the "Reading" page (https://www.lit.ge/packages), where one month reading package will be available for free;
- After the package activation, the user is given the opportunity to select three desired books and add them to their own library.
