Due to ongoing events related to the high risk of the Corona virus spreading, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has decided to suspend all sports activities planned for March and April.

In addition, all national and age teams are called back from the international assemblies. The athletes will return home and gradually undergo a medical check-up at the airport.

Furthermore, scheduled tournaments and matches have been postponed by international sports organizations. Rugby Europe's leading rugby association has decided to postpone all tournaments organized by April 15. The match between Georgia and Russia will no longer be held at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium on March 14. The date of the occasion will be announced later.

Also, according to the decision of the International Wrestling Federation, the license tournament of the Olympiad will be held in Budapest on May 19-22.

The Olympic water polo licensing tournament will begin on May 31 and end on June 7.

The World Figure Skating Championship, which was to be held in Canada on March 16-22, was postponed for an indefinite period.

The European Championship in Contact Karate, hosted by Tbilisi on April 4-5, was also postponed for an indefinite period.

The International Judo Federation will hold the European Championship in late May, with the Grand Prix being canceled in Tbilisi.

The European Weightlifting Championships will be held on April 13-21.

It is noteworthy that almost all of the above-mentioned tournaments are licensed for the 2020 Olympic Games and none of them have been canceled but have been postponed for some time.
