Owing to the decree issued by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the terms of the fourth stage of registration of first graders at public schools for the 2020-2021 academic year have been changed. As a result, instead of August 20, Phase IV of the first-grader registration will begin on July 13 and come to an end on August 31.
Due to the new coronavirus pandemic, it is established that the deadlines for electronic registration and submission of the necessary documents for enrolling a first grader at a public school have been extended. After the completion of the first, second and third stages, the documentation submission period to schools was extended to 5 July. Therefore, the deadline for registration for the fourth stage starts from August 20 until September 10.
However, given the large number of applications submitted to the Ministry, whose applications were not successful, the Ministry considered to expedite the start of the 4th stage. Consequently, the IV stage of registration will now commence on July 13.
We would like to remind you that the students who failed to register during the first, second or third stages or want to change their registration, they will now be be registered on the vacant opening during the fourth stage. Student registration at this stage is ensured by the public school based on the necessary documentation submitted by the parent or a legal representative.
To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the country:
There is a new system for business correspondence, according to which parents can now send applications electronically with any relevant documentation attached, or submit them to the school administration in person, in accordance with the rules of safety established by the school; The school will confirm the receipt of the application via email.
If all the required documents are submitted electronically, the school will not request the documents in person and will confirm the enrollment of the student within the timeframe as established by the legislation.
