The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili, presented symbolic gifts to the students and graduates of Marneuli College who worked in Marneuli and Bolnisi clinics and primary health care facilities during the coronavirus emergency.
In her welcoming speech, the Deputy Minister expressed her gratitude and respect for the college students, emphasizing their high social responsibility and the importance of vocational education towars the development of the country.
"Today, vocational education has proven that it can create the greatest value for society, it can raise heroes, there may be people in it who are essentially important to society" stated Tamar Kitiashvili.
It is noteworthy that during the strict quarantine regime, vocational students and graduates of Marneuli College worked in various clinics of the Kvemo Kartli region tirelessly alongside the medical staff.
Tamar Makharashvili, Director of the National Center for Education Quality Development, Marneuli Mayor Zaur Dargali and other representatives of local authorities participated in the event together with the Deputy Minister.
