The examination process for those interested in teaching started today and will continue until July 30. Up to 12,000 individuals will pass the subject exam this year.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Ekaterine Dgebuadze, visited the center opened in Ozurgeti Public School No. 2 and got personally acquainted with the examination process.
Ekaterine Dgebuadze: “Teachers' exam started today, and I would like to wish success to each of them. The good news is that in 2020, an unprecedented number of teaching aspirants were registered. This is a good indicator that many people have a desire to take part in shaping and refining the Georgian education system. The Ministry of Education promotes the professional development and career advancement of these individuals.”
Participants will take their first exams in Georogian language, Mathematics, and Natural sciences.
Currently, examination centers are open in Batumi, Poti, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti, Kutaisi, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Tbilisi, Rustavi, and Telavi. Testing is conducted in one session during the first half of the day.
To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, and to ensure the maximum protection of participants, the ministries within the Interagency Council headed by the Prime Minister have developed special health recommendations.
According to the recommendations of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, test takers and supervisors are only allowed only at 50% of the area capacity of the examination hall. Each exam desk is equipped with a transparent protective shield, and the distance between the test takers is at least two meters.
Recommendations from the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) specify that air conditioning is allowed during the natural ventilation (having an open window).
Switching on the air conditioners is allowed in accordance with the rules listed below.
When using the air conditioner, it is necessary to:
- Maintain a physical distance
