Israel
International Cooperation Program "Mashawi" will promote the
development of entrepreneurial and technological education in Georgia.
To
support the development of entrepreneurial and technological education in
Georgia, the Embassy of Israel awarded a small grant to the College of
Information Technology Academy.
The
grant will be used to introduce a simulation game as an innovative teaching
method in the context of entrepreneurship education and at the same time to
provide a hackathon, which in turn will encourage technological and innovative
teaching and enhance creative thinking in vocational students.
Tamar
Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of
Georgia addressed the participants of the event and thanked the Ambassador of
Israel to Georgia, Ran Gidor.
"I
express my gratitude to the Embassy of Israel in Georgia for giving us the
opportunity to benefit from this extraordinary project. Israel, as a country
with a distinctive practice of innovative and entrepreneurial education, is the
best partner for Georgia in this regard. I hope that through our fruitful
cooperation and personal friendship, we will further deepen our partnership
with Israel in the field of vocational education." stated the Deputy
Minister.
The
Israeli Agency for International Development and Cooperation
"Mashawi" was established in 1958 by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, allowing dozens of developing countries to learn about Israel's
experience and achievements, and to introduce technologies and innovations to
their state. Mashawi implements several key programs in Georgia, including
educational programs.
