To prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to the decision of the Interagency Council, starting from October 1, I-VI grade students in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, and Zugdidi will resume their studies in classrooms, while the learning process for VII-XII graders will continue remotely.

-          From October 1, the learning process in Gori and Poti will continue in the classrooms for all students.

-          From October 1, the learning process will resume remotely, throughout the territory of Adjara.

-          If the parent prefers the child to resume the distance learning, they will be able to do so. This process will be organized by the schools themselves.

-          Students of I-VI grades with special educational needs, except the Adjara region, will return to the educational process from October 1. In Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi and Zugdidi, students with special educational needs of VII-XII grades, who are currently distance learning, will be given the opportunity to use the school space - resource rooms with a pre-determined scheduling.

-          The educational process at higher education institutions and vocational schools will be maintained remotely, at this stage.

Throughout the entire region of Adjara, the educational process at all levels is maintained in a remote format.

As for schools - from October 1, I-VI grade students will return to classrooms in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, and Zugdidi. This is an extremely important decision, especially for the little ones.

Students with special educational needs, except for the Adjara region, will also meet special teachers in in classrooms starting from October 1, 2020. Having a continued flow of education is extremely important to them. These will be face-to-face meetings with teachers with a specially designed schedule that will be agreed with the parents.

We offer the public the most flexible system. If the parent prefers the child to continue learning at a distance format, they will be able to do so. This process will be organized by the schools. Parents will only need to apply to schools directly and register their child.

At this stage, distance learning will be maintained in higher education institutions and vocational schools, in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Zugdidi and the entire Adjara region. The decision based on the adaptation process will be announced in the near future in higher education institutions and vocational schools regarding the continuation / renewal of distance learning.”
