Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Irine Kurdadze visited Tbilisi Vocational Education and Training Center where successful graduates, students and teachers were awarded. Exhibition-selling of their workings was held as well.

Tbilisi Vocational Education and Training Center that was established in 2007 implements state vocational education program. Besides paid IT programs operate at this center.

Among 321 students of the center, 225 of them passed the qualification exams in 2009-2010. Some of them are going to pass exams and the others want to continue studying. Graduates of the center have an opportunity to be employed because 52 graduates of the previous group have been already employed.

Tbilisi Vocational Education and Training center has been cooperating with following companies: “Mshrali Mshenebloba”, Knauf, Schwarzkopf, Caparol, also LTD “Maudi”, LTD “H.I.J.E.”, LTD “Hasko+”, LTD “Sezani”, LTD ,,Georgia’s Matsne”. Memorandum is signed between the refugee training-retraining center and the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia that envisages developing new specialties according to the approaches of the Government of Abkhazia.

Foreign partners of the center are Norwegian Refugee Council, USAID, Vocational Education and Training Center of Estonia, Narva and organization The Children’s Village.
