Popular English game – cricket was held among the schoolchildren of Tskneti Buckswood Summer School. Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini attended the competition.

Cricket is played with the ball. Members of the two teams try to hit the ball with the bats in the opponent’s boundary. The game is very popular in England especially among the youth. Initiator of the competition is Dimitri Shashkini . He announced about the competition during his first visit in Tskneti summer school.

The Director of the School, Mark Double from the United Kingdom taught the schoolchildren the rules of cricket. The participants of the competition were well prepared and showed the real battle for the victory.

In the framework of English Language Learning Strengthening program, 130 successful schoolchildren of the second group are having a rest. In parallel they are improving their English Language knowledge and participating in sports and cultural activities.

MES implements the program English Language Summer Schools in Georgia and English Language Summer Schools in the United Kingdom among the three groups of the children in Tskneti, Bakuriani and Tskaltubo from June 22 until August 25, 2010. 1,200 schoolchildren of general educational institutions are being involved in it.
