The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia approved the Anti-Doping Rules of Georgia (2021) and the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (2021).
In 2021, a new World Anti-Doping Rules (WADA Rules 2021) entered into force, adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Georgian Anti-Doping Rules (2021) was developed in cooperation with the Georgian Anti-Doping Agency and the Ministry, based on the newly published WADA Rules 2021 and in agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Georgia, through ratification has joined the Council of Europe Convention against Doping since 2003 and, since 2009 has been a party of the International Convention against Doping in Sport.
The above-mentioned two documents were approved by Georgia within the scope of its obligations under these two international agreements.
