Iberia College was fully renovated in Kutaisi. Vocational students will continue their studies in renovated classrooms, laboratories equipped with modern equipment and training workshops. The college is designed for 700 students and students of all ages will be able to master the desired vocation in the following disciplines: Business and administration, engineering, information and communication technologies, services and agriculture. Renovation of the college and the surrounding area was financed with GEL 2 million from the budget of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science attended the opening ceremony of the college together with Imereti Governor, Zviad Shalamberidze, Majoritarian MP - Zaza Lominadze, local self-government and business representatives, students and other interested stakeholders.
According to
Tamar Kitiashvili, vocational education is a state priority and, therefore,
important reforms in this area will continue in the future. In particular, all
colleges that are in need of renovation will receive upgrades, new colleges
will be built, and required regional vocations will be introduced.
