The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Georgian private sector have joined forces with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia to overcome the challenges posed by work-based learning in the global pandemic. Owing to the initiative of the United Nations Development Program and organized by the Farmers' Association, a study was conducted on the impact of the pandemic on the introduction of work-based learning, which aimed to identify challenges in this area.

The presentation of the research findings was held at the seminar organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) - "Impact of COVID-19 on Vocational Education and Work-Based Learning Programs", which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili.

During the seminar, the parties jointly discussed the results of the study and discussed ways to overcome the existing challenges. Tamar Kitiashvili thanked the international partner organizations for their joint efforts and mobilization of additional resources for the uninterrupted functioning of the vocational education system during the pandemic.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the private sector attended the seminar held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and partly online.
