Two weeks before the end of the 2020-2021 school year, schools are still being actively monitored for the safe environment, in conjunction with testing teachers on Covid-19 to prevent the spread of the virus.
Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia personally got acquainted with the mandatory testing of staff at Tbilisi schools and attended the lesson. The deputy minister assessed the measures taken to ensure the safety of students on the spot.
Ekaterine Dgebuadze noted that the educational process in schools continues in a calm, safe environment. She stated, that everything is being done to maintain a stable situation in terms of the spread of the virus and for students to complete the school year in the classrooms.
It is noteworthy that the 9th compulsory testing of employees is being conducted across the country. School staff - teachers, bailiffs, administrators and technical staff - are tested using both PCR technology and rapid antigen testing. At the same time, the safe environment in schools is systematically monitored by both the Ministry and local educational resource centres.
