The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli congratulates the prominent Georgian scientist, Professor - Rismag Gordeziani on his birthday.

Rismag Gordezian's work in the fields of classical philology, Byzantine studies and neo-Greek studies is invaluable. He created a strong school in this field at Tbilisi State University. He is the author of more than 200 scientific papers, monographs and up to 30 books. Many generations have been brought up on the works of Mr. Gordeziani. His authority is recognized not only in Georgia but also abroad. Rismag Gordezian's public lectures are known in many countries of the world and in leading higher education institutions. It is important that he has been awarded the Order of Honor of Georgia and, at the same time, is the only Georgian cavalier of the Order of Honor of Greece.
