The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the National Center for Manuscripts and the Georgian Wikimedia Group offer special trainings to the participants of the competition - "Kartvelology in Wikipedia" in order to get acquainted with the topics and technical parameters of the competition material.
The training will give the opportunity to those who wish to participate in the competition to get information about the Kartvelological material preserved in the National Center of Manuscripts and to get acquainted with the conditions for uploading and submitting articles prepared by them on the Wikipedia platform.
One-hour remotely held trainings will be conducted from July 31 to August 3 in the following order:
July 31, 11:00 - Kartvelological materials preserved in the National Center of Manuscripts and the principles of preparing wikistats about them.
August 1, 11:00 am - How to edit Wikipedia?
August 2, 8:00 pm - How to create a new article on Wikipedia?
August 3, 8:00 pm - What are the criteria for a Wikipedia article not to be deleted?

We would like to remind you that the competition of articles in "Kartvelology Wikipedia", in order to increase the awareness of Kartvelology and Georgian Science on the Internet, was announced on July 1 within the project "Science Calendar - 2021" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The competition is one of the events that the Ministry will implement to promote science. As a result, the international online platform - Wikipedia - will be filled with credible source materials about Kartvelology, Kartvelian scholars, Georgian manuscripts, Georgian science, its fields and prominent representatives, and will be available to the general public in both Georgian and English languages.
