The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, who paid a working visit to Baku, was hosted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of long-standing friendship and strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The conversation touched on the close cooperation between the countries in the field of education and its potential enhancement.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan drew attention to his working visit to Georgia on October 24 of this year, during which he was hosted by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili. According to Ilham Aliyev, he had the opportunity to discuss with the head of the government of Georgia all the important issues that will further deepen the existing cooperation between the countries.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli express his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his hospitality and assessed Ilham Aliyev's visit to Georgia as a historical event. According to the minister, the long-standing friendly relationship between Georgia and Azerbaijan is a visible example of productive cooperation. In this regard, the close partnership between the countries at all levels in the field of education is particularly noteworthy, which contributes to the deepening of bilateral relations.
