The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, paid a working visit to the Swiss Confederation, where he held a meeting with the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EHL Holding, Michel Rochat, and the Managing Director of EHL Hospitality Business School, Andre Mack.
Within the scope of the meeting, the parties discussed issues and prospects of future cooperation in terms of implementing joint educational projects in Georgia. In particular, the conversation emphasized on the issues of implementing vocational educational programs in cooperation with EHL Hospitality Business School of Lausanne.
According to Mikheil Chkhenkeli, owing to the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili, active work is being done on the internationalization of vocational education, which means the development of joint programs in cooperation with the world's best vocational educational institutions and the involvement of leading foreign specialists in the educational process. This being stated, cooperation with the world's best hospitality business school EHL and sharing of its rich experience will be extremely significant.
According to the Minister, he would be happy if EHL Hospitality Business School closely cooperates with vocational and higher education institutions of Georgia in order to create joint educational programs. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EHL Holding - Michel Rochat, and the Managing Director of EHL Hospitality Business School - Andre Mack both expressed their readiness to cooperate with Georgia in the direction.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Confederation of Switzerland - Revaz Lominadze also attended the meeting. The EHL Hospitality Business School was founded in 1893 and is currently recognized as the world's best higher education institution in the field of hospitality. Business management graduates of the school continue their activities in high-class hotel chains, restaurants, and various fields of tourism.
