The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, held an online meeting with the executive director of the Davis Center at Harvard University - Alexandra Vacroux, and the head of the Kartvelology program - Stephen Jones, during which the parties discussed the issues of enhancing the cooperation in terms of further developing the Kartvelology program.

The minister drew attention to the importance of the Georgian studies program at Harvard University's Davis Center and stated that the ministry will be actively involved in the process of working on further projects in order to plan and implement joint programs more effectively.

On the other hand, the heads of Davis Center expressed their gratitude to Giorgi Amilakhvari for his cooperation and stated that the ongoing support from the Georgian government in the development of the Georgian studies program at the Davis Center of Harvard University is crucially important. The program promotes the dissemination and exchange of academic knowledge about the history, culture, literature, and politics of Georgia.
